Went to see the Chels play Fenerbahce at Stamford Bridge tonight. It wasn't the best of games. We scored in the first 5 minutes from a good Ballack header. From then on we sat off Fenerbahce, barely played decent a pass, and lacked any creativity.
My name sake and favourite player, Kalou, had a bad game. I think he was unfit or injured because he didn't seem to be able to run and his touch was consistently awful. He was subbed around 60 minutes, replaced with Belletti and Essien moved into midfield.
Around the same time Cudicini got some mystery injury and was replaced by Hirlario, who made some very important saves while the Chelsea team were asleep and Fenerbahce were allowed to attack at will.
In the last 10 mintues, Lampard got a second goal for the Chels, after some determined play from Essien. It was sort of against the run of play and flattered Chelsea. We'll have to play much better if we are finally going to overcome the 'pool.
One plus point was the flags Chelsea put by your seat which provided some fun waving action during a disappointing and at times frustrating game.

Nothing out of the ordinary then.
I've always wanted to go to a Chels match when they have flags.
I love waving flags
...wait a few years, you'll be eating bare hats.
Yeah the flag waving was pretty fun. and while waving it on the way back some people in a van in Catford gave us the thumbs up coupled with something i didn't hear. Also a man (who i presume supports liverpool) told us we'd better beat them.
